
The Women's Programs and WorkFirst Services at Seattle Central Community College is here to help you identify and achieve your educational goals. We serve low income parents and students from all backgrounds who desire to continue their education. Our diverse group of female staff members is here to answer your questions, provide encouragement and share resources in areas such as:

We offer a Wednesday Noon Lecture
Series which is free and open to all students and to the public. We offer a wid variety of topics that will enhance your life's outlook! Further information can always be obtained by dropping by the Center, or calling us at (206)587-3854 or speaking with an advisor on the Main Campus, prior to registering for your classes.
During this process, one of our WorkFirst staff members will assist parents with guiding them through the process of college entry and career advising.
There are also a limited number of WorkFirst Work Study positions available for parents who are receiving TANF. WorkFirst Work Study pays minimum wage at no more than 19 hours per week.

Women's Programs offers special services and support to low-income women who want to return to school and prepare for a job with a future. We can help you explore options ranging from short-term part-time programs or courses to help you get entry level jobs in many fields, to our two-year, full time Associate of Applied Science Programs that will prepare you for high wage high skill positions.

WOMEN'S FORUM: VOICES OF WOMEN AT S.C.C.C.
Issues of the Spring 2008 edition of The Forum are currently available at the Women's Center. This publication features essays, stories, poetry, art and photography by and about women students. Students have an opportunity to participate in all phases of publishing the Forum. The Forum is published in the Winter and Spring quarters.
