Student Bicycle & Motorcycle Parking
Students
Bicycles
There is NO charge to "park" your bicycle on SCCC campus. A permit is not required. However, all bicycles must park in a designated area. There are several designated areas reserved for bicycles on campus, including:
- Harvard Parking Garage – Third Level (main entrance) southeast corner
- Math & Science Building Garage – Harvard side
- Broadway–Edison Building (main campus building) south entrance
- Student Activities Center (near entrance and on Broadway side)
In general, a bicycle should only be locked/attached to a campus-provided bicycle rack. Leaving your bicycle in a non-designated area will result in citation and impoundment.
For safety reasons, please do NOT lock or park your bicycle in the following areas:
- regular-sized parking stalls for cars
- inside office & instructional buildings
- next to exit doors
- next to handrails
- in planted areas
- on sidewalks or pedestrian walkways
For your own safety and security, please make sure to secure your bicycle with a high security–locking device.
Motorcycles
There is no charge for motorcycle parking on SCCC campus. A permit is not required. For transportation purposes, the motorcycle category includes all motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters. However, all motorcycles must park in a designated area. There are currently two designated areas reserved for motorcycles:
- Harvard Parking Garage – Third Level (main entrance) southeast corner
- Math & Science Building Garage – Harvard side
Motorcycles parked outside of the designated areas are subject to citation and impoundment.
For safety reasons, please do NOT park your motorcycle in the following areas:
- regular–sized parking stalls for cars
- inside office & instructional buildings
- next to exit doors
- in planted areas
- at bicycle racks
- on sidewalks or pedestrian walkways
