START New Student Orientation will provide you with an overview of programs and services at Seattle Central.
Participation in Orientation is required for all new students enrolling at Seattle Central unless you have already earned an associate or bachelor's degree or have taken Orientation at North Seattle College or South Seattle College. Contact the Registration Office for more information.
If you are enrolled in any of the following programs, you are not required to take the New Student Orientation because the program offers a specialized orientation:
- Running Start
- International Education
- Adult Basic Education (ABE), English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED®
- Workforce Services, which offers Start Next Quarter Orientation for students enrolled in WorkFirst, Worker Retraining, Basic Food Employment & Training Program (BFET) and Opportunity Grant
- Continuing Education
Overview of Online Orientation
Please allow a minimum of 30‐40 minutes to complete the Orientation.
The online Orientation contains Audio. While Audio is not required, we strongly recommend it to gain the most out of the experience.
You will need to submit you Student Identification Number (SID) when you complete the Orientation. Your SID is assigned by the Admissions Office after your application has been processed.
