Seattle Central Creative Academy Open

Publishing Arts Program Student In the business world, clients want it now. That's why we've designed a hands-on collaborative environment on the fifth floor for students in our Graphic Design, Commercial Photography and Publishing Arts programs. Students at Seattle Central's Creative Academy will discover a brand-new $8.1 million facility that features integrated classes and shared resources, plus studios and labs that simulate real-world, professional partnerships. What's more, the facility incorporates the equipment and facilities of professional photography studios, graphic design firms, advertising agencies, commercial digital printing facilities, and color houses.

With 38,000 square feet of space, the Academy features natural lighting throughout with sweeping views of Seattle and Puget Sound from expansive west-facing windows and a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier to the southeast.

Seattle Central Creative Academy Lab The new facility has drawn rave reviews from professionals in the field. “I’ve never seen such a tightly integrated and well thought-out ‘cross-disciplinary’ facility dedicated to the study of visual communications,” says Tim Greenzweig, nationally-recognized graphic designer and Principal/Creative Director of Greenzweig Design. “The new facility is cutting-edge in both its features and equipment, but also in the layout and design of its collaborative spaces. This is a rare and much needed facility.”

At the Seattle Central Creative Academy, students will increase their prospects of landing that first job - whether at an independent studio or a global corporation. Currently, visual communications program graduates are employed at companies including Microsoft, Getty Images, and Adobe Systems.
