The mission of Seattle Central's Office of Planning & Research is to provide timely, valid and useful information to all College units and to lead the College in its strategic and operational planning efforts. Our office is committed to quality, integrity, transparency, collaboration, and autonomy. We conduct our functions according to the principle that student learning matters most.
In addition to conducting research, we also:
- assist with program and institutional accreditation
- consult with faculty, staff and students on assessment methods
- advise on coding issues
- facilitate forums, retreats and workshops
In keeping with our mission, Planning & Research works to convert the considerable amounts of available data into meaningful information, both for college initiatives and for the numerous ad hoc requests we receive annually.
