Student Computer Lab Equipment

Students

The Student Computer Center offers PC and MAC Computer Open Labs for SCCC students.UT and/or CL fee is required.

Open Labs

PC Open Lab:

  • Windows XP, MS Office XP and various software for specific programs of study
  • black and white and color laser printing
  • usb jumpdrive connectivity, CD drives, floppy/zip drives (ask at front desk)
  • flatbed image scanner (reservations recommended)

Mac Open Lab:

  • OS Tiger 10.4, various graphics software for specific programs of study and MS Office 2004
  • black and white and color laser printing
  • flatbed image scanner (ask at front desk)
  • zip drives, 100-250 MB, floppy drives (ask at front desk)
  • USB & Firewire connections
  • G-5's in our Mac Open Lab
  • RESERVATIONS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! MAC Open Lab fills quickly.

In addition to our open labs, the Computer Center also houses ten computer lab classrooms

All Student Accounts are paid for by Student quarterly UT/CL fees and available for the duration of the current quarter only.

  • Computer Support Technicians - student computing/software questions while in Computer Center open lab
  • Computer Tutors - for more extensive one on one student assistance with software use

3 cents per copy, Black and White
25 cents per copy, Color

How To Pay

Have your student ID card encoded at the Computer Center, room 3148
Must add value to ID card = minimum $1.00 using the Print Card Machine

Protect your Student ID Cards from Damage

Student ID cards can be used as a print card and loss of funds can result from damage to the magnetic strip. Do not store near other magnetic data cards, such as credit cards, ID cards, etc. Protect card from becoming soiled, scratched or bent and keep away from heat. Apply only small amounts to your card, as funds cannot be retrieved or refunded due to damage.

NOTE: You may be asked to print large jobs in batches to ensure access to the printer by other students.
