Instructional materials belong to instructors.

Materials created under grants, stipends, or with substantial specialized
equipment (not computers) belong to the District. Work out ownership
before work begins.

Note: Students own their work. Get written permission to use it.

Technically, no action is required. Work is protected once "fixed
in a tangible medium of expression."
