Tutoring Program

The Basic Studies Volunteer Tutoring Program provides individual and small group tutoring for students enrolled in Seattle Central classes (Adult Basic Education and English as a Second Language classes), so that they can gain the academic skills needed to advance to their next class level. For those individuals who are waiting to enter ESL classes, the program provides "Talk Time" sessions so that they can heighten their conversation and comprehension skills in preparation for a classroom experience.

Talk Time

Talk Time is a weekly ESL conversation group for students and community members, coordinated by staff and volunteers. Talk Time is open to anyone who wants help with their conversational skills. Call (206) 934-4378 for schedule information and help with any questions you may have.
